A proposition to convert current restrictions preventing weekday parking between 9-11am or 2-4pm to residents’ permit bays has finally been accepted by the development portfolio holder. If approved, it could allow residents with permits to park on the road at all times. However, during the bays’ operational hours, non-permit holders would not be allowed to do so.
Binita has been meeting with Triangle Residents’ Association representatives, Council Officers and co-councillors regarding possible parking solutions acceptable to all residents. Following a positive ‘practicality assessment’ from Watford Council, she has successfully lobbied the development portfolio holder to accept this as an urgent proposition.
A discussion will be had at the Cassiobury Triangle Residents Association AGM on Monday 30th March from 8pm at Watford Boys, so please come along to hear more details.
To ensure a fair and apolitical consultation, the Council will be managing the consultation process, which will take place in June.
Rosemarie says “As a Triangle resident, I hope that this solution is acceptable to our community as a practical compromise. I am pleased the portfolio holder has approved our request to prioritise this work and accepted this onto his programme at the final hour! I look forward to the public consultation and hearing residents’ views on this proposal.”
