Completed Works a Huge Success
The new pavements in Brookdene Avenue are a huge improvement. With its new road surface last year, and all the pavements now repaired, Brookdene Avenue is looking really good.
Next on our ongoing schedule of new road surfaces is Green Lane, between its junction with Brookdene Avenue and the Highlands. This is scheduled to be done within the next 15 months and we’ll let you know the date when we hear it.
Last October, at our annual local Highways meeting held in Oxhey Library and widely advertised locally, we agreed to use this year’s local highways funding on new pavements in Hampermill Lane, between the traffic lights, and Oaklands Avenue. This work has been ordered but no date has yet been fixed.
Cllr Ty Harris says: “Because of the residential nature of Oxhey Hall and so much through traffic, the condition of our roads and pavements is critical. This level of local consultation is invaluable and I hope many of you will come to the annual consultation this Autumn to discuss your roads.”
