Frances reports back from the recent Watford Rural Parish Forum, when Three Rivers District Council advised:
• They are now identifying who will be the best Developer Partner. This is expected to take six months.
• At their September public meeting, 24% of visitors were from Oxhey Hall and Carpenders Park,74% from South Oxhey, and 2% from elsewhere.
• Major concerns included the potential height of buildings (up to 8 storeys in places), future parking arrangements, traffic, and impact on current local shopkeepers.
• There was strong support for a new supermarket, improving community facilities, and preserving the green spaces.
• They were still not able to say how the whole scheme will look.
