The New Watford Market has survived its first Winter, despite weather issues on its top floor.
Binita has been working with traders and users in pushing the council to deliver adequate weather resistance here.
A campaign by the stallholders, backed by your Conservative team, has been successful, with 3 heaters due to be installed this month.
Binita says: “Thanks to all residents who have shared their feedback with me. I am pleased we are finally seeing a resolution to this, it is just a shame the issue was ignored, despite my raising it publicly to the Mayor in November. I hope lots more people will go and discover the exciting things on offer in the market this Spring.”
In addition, options to ensure better screening from the ring road and flyover are being explored, as are further signage and an injection of ‘colour’. All proposals will go to public consultation in due course.
