A new Watford Film Festival has won the competition to find Watford’s next big idea.
When Richard Harrington MP launched the Watford’s Big Idea competition in May he set a lot of people thinking.
During the summer more than 100 brilliant ideas were received from local residents and organisations. The independent judges chose 4 of the 100 ideas to put to a public vote.
The Film Festival will be a fantastic chance to celebrate the local film industry and bring the community together across a range of events and age groups. Celebrations will include film screenings in different arts venues, as well as competitions and themed events for local schools, charities and organisations.
Richard is now working with the winners and local organisations to make the Film Festival a reality.
