Trees have adorned Denmark Street for many years, but they have recently shown signs of wear and tear. One has died and the dangerously ‘bent’ tree will be replaced, as will two missing ones.
This work will be carried out in two stages - the dead and dangerously bent tree will be removed first and then all the new trees will be replaced in the planting season in the Autumn.
Linda Topping has been working closely with both Veolia and the other Nascot Councillors to agree on this arrangement and while Veolia cannot give an exact date, the work will be done when the conditions are favourable. The money, which has already been agreed, will come from the Highways budget.
