Earlier this month Three Rivers District Council discussed their recent consultation on the future of the brown bin collection, advising that 76% of their respondents would be prepared to pay up to £35 pa to keep a brown bin collection.
A decision will be taken on Monday 7 December because ‘a proposed introduction of Green Waste Charging will be a change to Council Policy and will require the consideration of the Policy and Resources Committee’.
We are disappointed that so few heard about the consultation and we did try to circulate details via Oxhey Hall Matters when it was discovered.
John Kyles said “Why did Three Rivers District Council decide to run this consultation without any real public advertisement and over such a short period of time, would it not have been more democratic, practical and cost effective to deliver the consultation inside the next issue of Three Rivers Times which is now being delivered?”
